More on the name origin

It might also be possible that the suffix "-ini" is an Italian suffix for an endearing or "small" version of something. (It certainly is this way in Italian.) Although, if that were the case, the suffix "-ino" or "-ina" might also apply, making "-ini" the plural.

Safari Zone, Yellow

I checked Dratini's Pokédex Area in Yellow and it says AREA UNKNOWN, despite being catchable in Safari Zone by fishing... Marked +-+-+ 13:47, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

That will be because it can only be caught while fishing. In Gen I, the Pokedex des not give the fishing locations, so if it is only found by fishing, it will say "Area Unknown" (a good example is Magikarp). XVuvuzela2010X 14:27, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Coloring

I got a Dratini from the Game Corner in FireRed and it was a shade of blue that made me think I might have gotten a shiny Dratini, My hopes were dashed when it evolved. Still, I find the fact the Spite on Bulbapedia and the sprite of my Dratini seemed different. Truthseeker4449 16:56, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Possible Trivia - Only non-Water obtained by fishing

I think it's true that Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite (since Gen V) are the only Pokémon found in the wild through fishing that are not of the Water-type. Can anyone confirm this? —Naokohiro 23:46, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Artwork

For some reason, when I view the page, I see Dratini's RB artwork instead of its FRLG artwork, even though the code for the page appears to say the FRLG artwork is what's there (even though that's definitely not what I'm seeing). The second-to-most-recent revision has the FRLG artwork, but the most recent revision didn't change anything that would affect the artwork at all. Is my computer going crazy, or is there a reason the RB artwork is on the page? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:08, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

On my computer the FRLG artwork is displayed, but other Generation I Pokémon are displaying their RB artwork instead. I think it is based on the number of edits, and once an edit is done the artwork changes (a switch). However I am not 100% sure about that. Lady Ariel 18:19, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Since the month of September is the anniversary of the Red and Blue games, the artwork is on a switch between the Firered and Leafgreen artwork and the original Red and Blue artwork. I'm not quite sure how the switch works, but that's the basic reason for it. --Pokemaster97 18:27, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
