AND... If one says "Nan-ba" and "Nam-ba", there's not much of a difference. The spelling that the Library of Congress would use is "Nanba".

Yes, we should.

Do I need to? No. I know that "Namba" and "Nanba" are both "correct" because two different kinds of Hepburn resolve to each.

See, original Hepburn = Namba Revised Hepburn = Nanba

And this is what I wanted to do:

• Namba ((Japanese), Nanba)

I chose Revised Hepburn in the paragraphs since this is the U.S. Library of Congress' system. But outside the paragraphs, "Namba" is used.

I personally think that the distinction between Nanba and Namba is not important enough to note in the context of romanising Japanese. I will take the opportunity to point out that I have personally been to Namba, Osaka. All the signs there say Namba.
