Possible name origin

Assuming that this article is deemed notable enough to keep, is it possible that the name of this glitch is based off of Doraemon's Dokodemo Door (and should we make note of it)? That was definitely the very first thing that sprang to mind when I saw the article title, at least... 梅子 14:04, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Doko definitely means 'Where' in Japanese, although I am not sure about Kashira... Sorry, I probably need to elaberate a little more but although Doraemon's Dokodemo Door seems similar to "Doko-Kashira" the name is probably just a bad translation of something like "Door where?" Nevertheless several sources actually name it that, if you do a Google Search most of them are forum posts although there a few pages such as this one [1]. --Chickasaurus 14:50, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm not asking what the name means - it means "Where is this?" ("doko kashira" gives a feeling more along the lines of "now where could this be?" but I digress). "Dokodemo" means "anywhere." I know very well what they mean, I'm just wondering if the name of this glitch is a pop culture reference to Doraemon's Dokodemo Door. 梅子 14:52, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
I wouldn't see why not to put that it is similar to Doraemon's Dokodemo Door but I guess that it would get removed straight away though because of speculation, sometimes I dislike this wiki for that reason >_<. I know little Japanese, but I guess that I am a little mad lol, for getting Pokémon Diamond in Japanese when the games first came out and relying on pictures etc. --Chickasaurus 15:08, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

This only works in Pokémon Green?

Are you sure that it only works in Green? I would think that it would work in Japanese Red as well (after all, Red and Green's game engines are pretty much identical). Can someone confirm this? --Blaziken257 20:22, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it also works in the Japanese version of Pokémon Red, I completely forgot about that! I'll add it now. --Chickasaurus 20:28, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
