Darkrai appears in both Almia AND Sinnoh. lastly, Shaymin appears in Sinnoh, Almia, and Kanto (well, it's implied that it is native in Kanto, due to the mention of a white rock being there.). :::No, the only confirmation in terms of Breeding for Darkrai is that it's in the No-Eggs group (Otherwise, it would have been listed among the likes of the Magnemite Family, the Voltorb family, the Staryu Family, etc, etc.), and even THAT is an fishy placement since, if they were incapable of reproducing, none of the above pokemon would even Have members of the same species in the other regions, main games or side-games/spinoffs alike. ::::Not all Pokémon are born by breading as Gastly was born from poisonous gasses and Grimer was born from waste, although i agree that baby Lugia was born through breading but the one in the power of one was created from that current. In other words Pokémon don't have to be born through sex. --lord mada 22:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
:::::according to the Pokédex entries, maybe, but if you plop a Grimer and/or a Gastly in a breeding center, and if they fall in love with each other, or if they fall in love with some other pokemon in the center, and Gastly/Grimer produces an egg, which evolves into either a Gastly or a Grimer (depending on which one is the female), I think it would be pretty obvious as to how they were procreated (If they were truly created by Poisonous gases/Toxic waste, why would they need to produce eggs, much less do it to create them?) Also, I don't recall the movie mentioning that it was actually CREATED by the current. I mean, sure, it might have been born in the current, but that doesn't mean that it was created by it. All it means is that it's mom was pregnant and gave birth to Lugia while in the current. [[User:Weedle Mchairybug|Weedle Mchairybug]] 23:50, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

should thunder wave be added to the list of moves darkrai can use? IIRC, there was a special event at various Toys R' Us stores in English-speaking countries that gave away Darkrai with the moves Hypnosis, Nightmare, Roar of Time, and Spacial Rend, around the time of the movie; shouldn't it be included, because we did that for the shiny legendary beasts (I'd try adding it myself, though I kinda suck at using templates and all :p ). The Japanese version did not mention Darkrai being male, but the dub does.BlueJirachiWishMaker 14:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I think it's rediculous that the genders for legendary Pokemon are all listed as "none" when it'd not 100% confirmed that anime pokemon are genderless, when we can't say whether normal pokemon are male or female unless it's 100% confirmed. (GT4GTR 11:23, 16 June 2008 (UTC))

VA: Williams or Rogers?

Someone's not letting me credit Scott Williams, voice of Baxter on TMNT and credited in the movie, for voicing Darkrai. It sounds nothing like Bill Rogers! It sounds everything like Williams! Where was it confirmed that Rogers voiced Darkrai? First Dai, and now Darkrai. He didn't voice everybody, you know! Shift 21:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

imdb says otherwise --lord mada 22:08, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
If you could screen shot that bit of the credits as proof please --lord mada 22:11, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
IMDb's fan-updated too, you know... Here's your proof, dude: "credits_darkrai.jpg"

Bottom of the list: proves he was in it, didn't specify what role. Darkrai sounds the most like him from his roles as Baxter, so I logically concluded it was him. Now that I see it, Sean Rey probably voiced Dai and not Rogers or Williams. You accidently helped me out, man! Thanks! Shift 22:22, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

You probably just have a better ear for voices oh well I give in. --lord mada 23:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Something Wrong in the Trivia

Darkrai, along with Entei, Manaphy, and Meowth, is a non-Psychic-type with the ability to talk without telepathy.

So Darkrai wasn't using telepathy? How do you know? I didn't see any lip movements. The same goes for Entei. If it wasn't using telepathy than what was it using? As far as I know Meowth, Manaphy, and if you wanna count Chatot, are the only Pokémon that spoke without telepathy. --ケンジガール 03:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I vote on removing that piece of trivia. Manaphy and Meowth are the only non-Psychic-type to talk non-telepathically. Entei's lips never move, and as for Darkrai... he doesn't even have any lips! - spontaneousCombusken 03:44, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I'd be best to remove it, in my opinion.~Pokemaniac102 03:49, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I think it should stay and we should add Chatot --lord mada 08:36, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

But it uses telepathy to talk. I don't even think it has a mouth. If you want to mention it, it would be better suited for Meowth and Manaphy's pages, not here.
its head kind of looks like it is sunk in to its body it could be hiding a mouth there --lord mada 08:54, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

You only ever see 25% of Darkrai's features at any given time, and you never see the bottom 50%, period. Wether or not he has a mouth, I don't think he's using telepathy. LordArceus 16:48, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

thunder wave

should thunder wave be added to the list of moves darkrai can use? The attack looks like blue lighting bolts, and whenever thunder wave is used in the show, it appears as a blue bolt. also, after it hit Lickilicky, the pokemon seemed to be a little stiff before unleashing its hyper beam.Darkcloud1111 01:18, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

That's Shock Wave.--☆Kevzo8 12:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Someone said darkrai could of used sand tomb in ash's dream, but it was a nightmare so it most likely wasnt an attack, just an effect of the nightmare so can it be considered as an attack?Darkcloud1111 08:34, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Ash experienced nightmare, so it's merely part of his nightmare.--☆Kevzo8 12:27, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Shadow sneak?

Several times in the movie, Darkrai uses what looks like Shadow Sneak. I think that should be noted.--Kasei 20:32, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

It's never stated to be Shadow Sneak though. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 21:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

In the games

IIRC, there was a special event at various Toys R' Us stores in English-speaking countries that gave away Darkrai with the moves Hypnosis, Nightmare, Roar of Time, and Spacial Rend, around the time of the movie; shouldn't it be included, because we did that for the shiny legendary beasts (I'd try adding it myself, though I kinda suck at using templates and all :p ).
