Leaf Storm

does this mean that if I use Leaf Storm 3 times, then my Jaroda will have a +6 Sp. Atk? Also, if I use an attack like belly drum, that maximizes Atk when used, what happens? PikaNinja7 16:28, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, three Leaf Storms give you +6 SpA and Belly Drum -6 Atk.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:43, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
awesome, gonna get myself a dream world tsutarja then. PikaNinja7 05:47, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Does Antagonist affect the opponent's moves too, or just the Pokémon's? So if a Serperior's foe (let's say a Tsunbear) uses Icy Wind against it, does Serperior's speed increase? Similarly, if Tsunbear uses Hone Claws, will its accuracy and attack drop? H4r8z0r 02:50, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
It affects any stat changes of the Pokémon with Antagonist. Therefore, if a Serperior has Antagonist, and Icy Wind is used against it, its speed will increase. However, if its opponent uses Hone Claws, the move will work like normal because it doesn't target Serperior. --RiverAura 18:41, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Psych Up

How does this ability affect Psych Up, if it does at all? --RiverAura 17:35, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Double battles

What about double battles? does this ability apply only to the pokémon that owns it or to all pokémon in the field? Piotr mil 01:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Acquiring this ability

When a pokemon acquires this ability through skill swap, will stat changes already in effect be switched? For example, My deoxys uses Psycho Boost, and then the opponent sends out a serperior. If I use Skill Swap, will my -2 Sp Atk become + Sp Atk? I'm also wondering if this would apply to losing the ability. - unsigned comment from Delspencerdeltorro (talkcontribs)

Trivia

The Japanese name of this ability, "Amanojaku", is the name of a small oni-like demon that instigates humans to act upon their darkest compulsions and turn to evil, and will always lie or state the opposite when interrogated. The name is used in common language to mean "contrarian" or "backwards". - unsigned comment from Horo-kun (talkcontribs)

Snivy and this ability

So how exactly do you get a Snivy with this ability? I can't find Snivy mentioned on this list of Pokémon that can be found in the various Dream World areas, and I'm not sure what can be done to get one. -- Dracosummoner 03:19, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

You can't get a Snivy with this ability legally at the moment. Just like Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect. Someone probably figured it out via hacking. --ケンジガール 03:23, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. -- Dracosummoner 02:31, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

List

Should there be a list of moves affected by this ability? Limited to those that the Pokemon listed can learn, or it might take up half the page. Something like this:

Move Type Effect Pokémon learned by*
Leaf Storm  Grass  + 495496497
Coil  Poison  - 495496497

I don't think so. Most ability pages don't have lists. Only the ones that would not be clear if they were simply defined have them, like Iron Fist or Soundproof. The definition on this page now tells what the ability does just fine. In addition, the list would have to include every single move that changes stats, because moves used by other Pokémon on the Contrary one still activate the ability. --Darth Zekrom 02:06, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

I disagree because it would be very informative about trainers ever planning to use this move without a ton of people asking on places like yahoo (or something) and getting the wrong answer. I'll check real quick to see if anywhere reliable has info on this and report back if they do if not I'll add in every move it affects and with help (from people editting) we can figure out what every move does! Let's do this!
