Sorting

What kind of sorting should we use to list the clothes? Alphabetical or the one used ingame when the alphabetical one is turned off? Or any other special order? --Sekuiyatalk 16:37, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

And while we're at it, should we separate male clothes from females one? I think mixing them all can be rather confusing. --Sekuiyatalk 16:40, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Maybe there should be a row to tell which gender can buy the clothes? And I would think sorting items by style first found; default items would be first, then items of the same style bought, then different style items found earliest. Glik (talk) 16:58, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

But there's items from the same type with different styles. Wouldn't that get a little confusing? Isn't it better to do it Alphabetical, less confusing, no? --Sekuiyatalk 17:08, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
That's what I meant by items of the same style. Male's start out with black Short Boots, so that would be the first item. Then all the other Short Boots found wherever they're found, then the next available style of shoe and so on and so forth. Alphabetical would work just as well, replacing the N/A's with Default. I'm assuming after sorting items alphabetically, we'd then sort same style items by location, yes? Or would price be a better-looking format? Glik (talk) 17:16, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Alphabetical sounds like a better way, you can even sort alphabetical ingame, which would make it a lot easier to compare lists and find clothes you're missing. In my opinion, alphabetical is the way to go. And regarding male VS female. Maybe two different sections would be better, afterall, most of their clothes are different from ours, if not all! --Sekuiyatalk 17:19, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Surely Socks and Accessories aren't all that different, are they? Would it look too cluttered if there were two charts side-by-side? Is that even possible? Glik (talk) 17:22, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Dunno about socks, but regarding Accessories, they're the same only in Buttons, they don't the same Glasses we have nor Feathers. Regarding tables side by side, it would be possible but you would have to ask someone with more experience in wiki styling. --Sekuiyatalk 18:02, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Daily wares?

Can someone confirm me that the clothes available are the same depending on the day of the week and not just completely random? --Sekuiyatalk 19:59, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Well, I decided to do a week long experiment. I'll be adding the day of the week when it shows up and then in the next week see if it repeats. I hope I can catch all days. Wish me luck! Of course, if it turns to be true then can anyone can help construct the list so feel free to do so! --Sekuiyatalk 02:21, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Upon comparing my current selection to the data that I'm seeing in the tables currently (some of which I put in myself a week or two ago), it would seem that it's simply random. I have certain items showing up today that I hadn't marked down for today previously, and there are other things not showing up today that I had indicated should be on Sunday. If anyone has any ideas on how we want to implement the "Calendar Day" column given that there doesn't seem to be full consistency, let us know. Of course, there's also the fact that an NPC early in the game mentions that the selection increases or changes as you beat more gyms. I had put in some of this info with only about half of the gyms done. At this point, I've beaten the Elite Four. Perhaps this also has something to do with the differences, but, again, that leaves us with an apparent lack of consistency. I'll leave things be for now, but we should probably reconsider the "Calendar Day" column. --Amimizunofan22 (talk) 05:25, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
It turns out that I forgot to put my 3DS back an hour for Daylight Savings, so what I thought was 11:30 on a Sunday was really 12:30 on a Monday. So, it seems that everything checks out for now. I'm going to do my own week now that I've beaten all the gyms and the Elite Four, just in case that random NPC in Santalune's boutique was right about selection changing based on gyms beaten. --Amimizunofan22 (talk) 06:41, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Style

Should we state the style a cloth provides? I mean, the "tags" of the clothes have different patterns which, I'm guessing, is the style a certain cloth provides ranging from that bluish one, to the orange one, to the black and white one, and maxing with rainbow like one. If we add that to the list let me suggest some names. Bluish: Casual, Orange: Cool, Black: Fancy, Rainbow: Special. What do you think? Open to suggestions! --Sekuiyatalk 16:33, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Hair?

I cannot for the life of me find a place that lets you cut or dye your hair. I've been to nearly every city! How come there are no locations for haircuts listed? Nokota (talk) 05:37, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

The haircut salon you're after is on the south boulevard in Lumiose City (it's called "Coiffure Clips"). It's mentioned under the "places of interest" section on Lumiose City's page, perhaps a listing of available hair colours and styles can be listed there. たかはりいtalk 05:47, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Just thought I'd mention...

There is a red shirt and tie. I don't want to break the templates by accident, so could someone please edit them in?--BigBadBatter (talk) 23:04, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

New Table Format

So, I'd been wanting to do something like this for quite a while, but I was waiting until all the information was populated. My main idea was to modify the tables so that, instead of the textual listings of days that were in place, there could be a slightly more graphical representation of which days each item is available. Now, I'm very much a novice at wikicode, so it took me some research and site perusing to cobble all the elements of these things together. My main inspiration was the set of templates for which Pokémon are available on which routes (colored or white boxes with appropriate text to indicate presence). I did notice a couple of incorrect items (like two purses listed for the same boutique for the same day in one example), but I'm super freaking tired and just wanted to get this monster project done with. If anyone has ways of improving my table, I'm open to discussion, since, as I said before, I'm rather new to wikicode and table-building (or, in this case, modifying) with it. In any case, I hope you all like what I've done. Amimizunofan22 (talk) 10:13, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Clothing Tag color and effect on fashion style (not style)

Ok, so it would seem that you need 4≥ items with a specific tag to effect the fashion of your character..I.E. the fanfare played when you are done selecting your clothing options.

This is only what I know about the boy's clothing tags...so bare with me.

The having 3 or more blue tag items give you the violet mirror ball sparkle pop fanfare. Having 4 or more orange tag items give you the rainbow tropical fanfare. Having 2 or more Black tag items gives you the music note and jazz fanfare. And if you wear a Rainbow tagged item like the Pangoro hat thing, you always get the Laser Light show and Swing music fanfare (I suck at telling the difference between blues, Jazz and swing sometimes so Swing might not be the right genre for the last one)

From what I can tell, the Rainbow tag items have abstolute infleunce over the final results for the fanfare. This is then followed by Black tag items, Red Tag and then blue tag items.

Its going be a pain, but I am going test every combo with what items to see the fanfare results. Maybe we can make it into a table or two, similar to the Nature tables. Yamitora1 (talk) 23:16, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
