Useless trivia

Would someone mind explaining exactly how Cinnabar/Cianwood/Dewford create an "elemental cycle"? IIMarckus 00:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I would have to say that it obviously doesn't make sense. There really isn't a Grass part of the trio anyway. I'm going to remove it. MoldyOrange 01:00, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Southwestern Island trend? Cianwood City isn't on an island anymore than Vermillion City or Goldenrod City. Cianwood is based on Naruto, which, while on the ocean and across a sea route from the Kansai region of Japan, is on Shikoku, one of the four Great Islands. Shikoku is kinda big to be lopped together with the far smaller islands that Cinnabar and Dewford are based on. Please try to understand the original basis of the game. Even if IN AMERICA people don't know a thing about the geography of Japan, players of the ORIGINAL JAPANESE version would completely understand that these games are based off regions of Japan. Seriously. I'm removing the island trivia. Satosuke 16:58, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

How about we change "on an island" to "across the sea"? Bardock 22:59, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Is it a city or a town?

Just wondering b/c also with sinnoh are the only region to have all Gyms in cities? so is it a city or a town.--Pokéboy93 05:42, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

The TCG card calls it "Cinnabar City Gym", but technically it doesn't have either City or Town in its name. TTEchidna 05:43, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
so, would sinnoh be technically be the only region so far to have all gyms in cities?--Pokéboy93 05:45, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
It gets called "Guren Town" as well as "Guren Island" in Japanese games, so I'd say it's a town.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 20:08, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Recort part of Route 21 and see the southern rocks, please --Rodney 13:33, 19 February 2010 (UTC) Ah too recut part of Route 20, please --Rodney 14:17, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

...wha... TTEchidna 01:14, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
I think he means, he wants the picture to be just the island, without the sea routes.--ForceFire 06:52, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

The volcano...

I'm playing Heartgold but I haven't reached Cinnabar yet. Has the volcano erupted in Heartgold/Soulsiver? The article doesn't even mention these games. --Dr. James 03:37, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Of course it does, it's a remake of GS. - unsigned comment from Reign (talkcontribs)
But not necesarily it has to be exactly the same. I've already seen things that differ a lot with its originals in G/S/C. --Dr. James 15:18, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Well, the HGSS article mentions that Blaine still takes refuge on the Seafoam Islands, so I think it's safe to assume the volcano still erupted. At least for now. **doesn't have the games** ZestyCactus 19:51, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Please delete the item in the volcano in image of Gen IV, becuase in images of Gen IV the items dont' appers, i wait that do it, please and warning us!. good day. --Rodney 13:24, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

What Item?--ForceFire 06:51, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Actually, while we are on the subject of the picture, can we please switch to the FR/LG image? It shows more of the island's town, as apposed to it being dominated by rock. --Bonslywizard10 22:05, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

We leave the images to the latest released main series game, so no. The HGSS map stays. --Coolピカチュウ! 22:41, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Pidgey and Rattata

I remember playing in my Blue Version, if you surf on the portion next to the Gym, you can encounter a Pidgey/Rattata even though you're on water. I think this was a glitch as I would encounter Missingno. later. Note: this was a long time ago, I haven't played my Blue for a long time.--ForceFire 05:46, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

You can find heaps of Pokémon there by Surfing. It is all part of the Missingo. glitch. —darklordtrom 06:25, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Thought so.--ForceFire 06:37, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Description

Speaking about Japanese, why is the translation mouse-over thing for the town slogan not completely translated? It says "Guren's red is the colour of passion", but shouldn't it either be "Crimson red is the colour of passion" or "Cinnabar (Island)'s red is the colour of passion"? Eevee-Girl 16:21, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

You should be using the picture from FireRed/ Leaf Green not HG/SS

You should be showing what it originally looked like. It first appeared on those games so its only appropriate to show that. Blueknightex 04:30, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I don't see what's wrong with having the most recent map of Cinnabar Island. Han Ji-Wan 05:18, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
