Pidgey and Rattata
I remember playing in my Blue Version, if you surf on the portion next to the Gym, you can encounter a Pidgey/Rattata even though you're on water. I think this was a glitch as I would encounter Missingno. later. Note: this was a long time ago, I haven't played my Blue for a long time.--<span style="color:#DAA520">F</span><span style="color:#DAA520">orce</span><span style="color:#C0C0C0">F</span><span style="color:#C0C0C0">ire</span> 05:46, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Useless trivia

Would someone mind explaining exactly how Cinnabar/Cianwood/Dewford create an "elemental cycle"? IIMarckus 00:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I would have to say that it obviously doesn't make sense. There really isn't a Grass part of the trio anyway. I'm going to remove it. MoldyOrange 01:00, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Southwestern Island trend? Cianwood City isn't on an island anymore than Vermillion City or Goldenrod City. Cianwood is based on Naruto, which, while on the ocean and across a sea route from the Kansai region of Japan, is on Shikoku, one of the four Great Islands. Shikoku is kinda big to be lopped together with the far smaller islands that Cinnabar and Dewford are based on. Please try to understand the original basis of the game. Even if IN AMERICA people don't know a thing about the geography of Japan, players of the ORIGINAL JAPANESE version would completely understand that these games are based off regions of Japan. Seriously. I'm removing the island trivia. Satosuke 16:58, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

How about we change "on an island" to "across the sea"? Bardock 22:59, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Is it a city or a town?

Just wondering b/c also with sinnoh are the only region to have all Gyms in cities? so is it a city or a town.--Pokéboy93 05:42, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

The TCG card calls it "Cinnabar City Gym", but technically it doesn't have either City or Town in its name. TTEchidna 05:43, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
so, would sinnoh be technically be the only region so far to have all gyms in cities?--Pokéboy93 05:45, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
It gets called "Guren Town" as well as "Guren Island" in Japanese games, so I'd say it's a town.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 20:08, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

The volcano...

I'm playing Heartgold but I haven't reached Cinnabar yet. Has the volcano erupted in Heartgold/Soulsiver? The article doesn't even mention these games. --Dr. James 03:37, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Of course it does, it's a remake of GS. - unsigned comment from Reign (talkcontribs)
