why is it confirmed that charla is a female? no one said LegendaryFlame

Her Japanese name is Lisa, and she wears a bow. Porygon-Z 14:35, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I believe Liza said it herself. --ケンジガール 20:13, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Why does it say Charla's Female but Ash's is unknown? (GT4GTR 09:23, 10 November 2008 (UTC))

Ok that is wrong in so many ways Ash's Charizard has to be a male otherwise Charla would never have fallen for him, She wears a bow and even has a ladies name in both the original and the dub, could there be any more evidence short of them telling you themselves. You would not see a male charizard going around with a bow on it's head and since she has fallen for Ash's Charizard I think it is a male unless Charla is a lesbein and I don't think they allow that kind of thing on pokemon. Sheesh whoever thinks Charla is not a female needs a reality check, same goes for people who think Charizard is a female. De Wolfy is here 15:19, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Caught at

Is it confermed that Charla was caught in Johto? I don't remember anyone mentioning it.--Misty-May-Dawn rulz 10:37, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Who changed the picture

That picture sucks. You can barely see Charla. It's centered on Liza. I was going to change it back to the first one but someone deleted it. Get a new picture. That isn't acceptable. --ケンジガール 03:19, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

I will change the picture when I take a few from the DVDs and then I will put a few up when I get the time. De Wolfy is here 15:18, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Charmander

Umm... Lisa's page says it's evolved from a Charmander, but this isn't. Clarification please. I think it didn't evolve from a Charmander... ht14 02:45, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

I call for an analysis of the original Japanese version of the episode in question. I definitely recall Liza saying she raised Charla from a Charmander in the dub. However, an analysis of the original Japanese episode will tell us if that implication is in fact canon, or dub-added. --Shiningpikablu252 02:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Wait, someone suggested I'm going to do the analysis? If I had access to the Japanese version of the episode and a way to decipher the audio, of which I have neither, I would have had everything done by myself by now! The only reason I even called for someone to do an analysis is because I can't do it myself! --Shiningpikablu252 03:02, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Then who's gonna do it?! CuboneKing 03:03, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
The call was more for a volunteer than anything...--Shiningpikablu252 03:07, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
I'll volunteer to do it. I have the Japanese version of that episode and I can decipher the audio.
OK, I just did an anyalsis and in the Japanese version, she said "Lisa-chan is a special Charizard. She is cute and she doesn't normally battle the other Charizard." In that whole line of dialogue, Lisa raising Charla from a Charmander was not mentioned even once. So Ht14 is right. This is a dubbing error. --Hmdwgf 04:04, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Knows Fly?

Since Liza is riding on her back, doesn't it mean she knows Fly? WellyDawn 17:47, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Deletion

I think that this article is way too small to be able to be considered its own article. I think this article should be deleted and the information on here should be merged with the information section for Charla on the article for Liza. (Charizard101 (talk) 14:59, 30 September 2012 (UTC))
