Personally I think that that's an apt decision. Splitting it so as not to confuse Gen 7's and GO's Candies with the others is a good idea. ProfH819 (talk) 10:37, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

A line should be able to be drawn going from GO to Let's Go to Sword & Shield, and as is that line can't be drawn because GO Candy has it's own page with a quantifier in the title which implies GO Candy is the variation on the concept instead of the original. In shorter terms, this article would benefit from copying certain Transformers Wiki articles, such as their Energon and Scanning articles, which explain how a concept comes to be when it is either really confusing or the order of the page obfuscates the influence some works have. (I guess this also means I would like Combat Power to get a full page, but I'll cross that bridge later.)  Salmancer (talk) 00:25, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Generation II Pokémon

I found a list of the candies and items necessary to evolve Gen II Pokémon here. I wanted to add them to the article myself but I have no idea how to branch the evolutions in the second stage instead of the first. Ratcicle Fan (talk) 01:42, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Edit: Here is the list specifically of Gen II Pokémon that evolve to or from Gen I Pokémon. Ratcicle Fan (talk) 01:45, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Just wanted to point out I already found out, after a little research in the template's page. I'll start adding in to the list. Ratcicle Fan (talk) 21:05, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

Reorder

Perhaps it would be better to have the LGPE section before the Go section. I know Candies were initially in Pokemon Go, but I think it would be better to have the section on a core series game before the section on a side game. --celadonk (talk) 21:42, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm in two minds about this since Go information is most likely what people would be looking for. --Spriteit (talk) 22:52, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Split to Candy (GO)

Back when LGPE came out, adding the Candy information to this page seemed okay. But then Gen VIII came out, and it was a completely different mechanic. And GO's mechanics are getting more complex. At this point, I feel it makes sense to split this page off, making the same distinction as Stardust and Incense. TehPerson (talk) 15:01, 27 December 2020 (UTC) Personally I think that that's an apt decision. Splitting it so as not to confuse Gen 7's and GO's Candies with the others is a good idea. Conceptual History Section?

I think this article could use a section called "Conceptual History". As is, it's missing the fact that the concept of Candy being used to improve stats comes from GO before becoming a part of the main series.
