Totodile sounds like {{wp|Clarence Nash}} Donald Duck's original voice {{unsigned|Livinlarge18}}
:Well I can assure you that he does not voice him. Some one also thought that he voiced it too.  But you have to realize that practically anyone can make their voice sound like Donald Duck's. Realize that Donald has probably had three different VA's by now and they all do his voice the same. ::Gah, I'm so sick of people saying Donald Duck plays Totodile. People, there is '''''NO''''' possible way that Totodile is voiced by Clarence Nash, Tony Anselmo, or any other Disney voice actor. Disney, if I recall correctly, records all of their voices in California. Pokémon is dubbed in New York. And Maddie Blaustein stated on the Serebii forums that, although she doesn't know who played Totodile, she assured everyone that it wasn't Donald Duck. Also, point out to me where Nash or Anselmo has been credited in Pokémon. The only places I see that are Wikipedia, IMDB and TV.com (which is one of the most inaccurate sites out there when it comes to voice actors. I told the editor that some of his voice actor information was wrong, and he told me it wasn't), all sites which people can contribute freely to. Also, for the record, Carlos Alazraqui '''did not''' play the Magikarp salesman, Jhonin Vasquez '''did not''' play Professor Nanba, and neither Matt Mitler or Jason Marsden has played Gary Oak. And Philip Bartlett wasn't the narrator, either. :sigh: It's as simple as just reading the credits.

:That's not enough evidence by Bulbapedia standards; first of all, girlfriend is not indicative, since it assumes heterosexuality. (And before you say it, "it's a kids show, so they wouldn't put gay characters in it" is an assumption — an almost certainly accurate assumption, but an assumption nonetheless, so we can't go by it.) Secondly, the original series is extremely loose with "hims" and "hers" when the original Japanese version uses a gender-neutral pronoun, so casual usage like that isn't enough. It has to be something definitive — how it's affected by the move Attract, for instance. [[User:Pumpkinking0192|Pumpkinking0192]] ([[User talk:Pumpkinking0192|talk]]) 19:45, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Are you sure Tony Anselmo plays the voice of Totodile? Other than imdb.com and Wikipedia, nothing I've found (including Pokemon's credits) says that he's a voice actor with the show. -PAK Man

Well, that's what Wikipedia's article on Totodile says.--Pokencyclopedia 17:44, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
The only problem with Wikipedia is that anybody can contribute to it. This is also the web site that says Carlos Alazraqui was a voice actor on Pokémon, when his website never says he was. --PAK Man
It also doesn't make sense. I mean, everything else he's done has been for Disney - why would he voice Totodile for 4Kids? Besides, he's not the only person who can do a voice like Donald Duck - even if it's a difficult voice to imitate. --Pie 01:40, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Totodile's voice

Totodile sounds like Clarence Nash Donald Duck's original voice - unsigned comment from Livinlarge18 (talkcontribs)

Well I can assure you that he does not voice him. Some one also thought that he voiced it too. But you have to realize that practically anyone can make their voice sound like Donald Duck's. Realize that Donald has probably had three different VA's by now and they all do his voice the same. Totodile just was made to have a "Donald Duck-like" voice. --ケンジガール 22:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Gah, I'm so sick of people saying Donald Duck plays Totodile. People, there is NO possible way that Totodile is voiced by Clarence Nash, Tony Anselmo, or any other Disney voice actor. Also, for the record, Carlos Alazraqui did not play the Magikarp salesman, Jhonin Vasquez did not play Professor Nanba, and neither Matt Mitler or Jason Marsden has played Gary Oak. And Philip Bartlett wasn't the narrator, either. :sigh: It's as simple as just reading the credits.
By the way, sorry if this post seemed a little angry. I'm just so mad at people who hear one rumor about a voice actor and then post it everywhere else claiming it's true. --PAK Man Talk 00:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Also Nash couldn't of voiced Totodile because he died 22 years ago. --ケンジガール 02:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Bill Rogers

Do you think Bill Rogers will voice Totodile? - unsigned comment from Livinlarge18 (talkcontribs)

Incorrect credits

Voice Actors .com said that Rachael Lillis voiced Charmander it is not true someone should fix that and make it Michael Haighney and Bella Hudson did not voice Officer Jenny Jamie Davyous Owens did and also it said that Lisa Ortiz voiced Chikorita and its evolutions Mika Kanai did not Ortiz and I think Birnbaum does voice Bellsprout because if you listen really closely it sort of sounds like Jessie's Dustox - unsigned comment from Livinlarge18 (talkcontribs)

Well, that's they're problem, not ours. --PAK Man Talk 03:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Gender

Is Totodile a confirmed male? DCM

As far as we know, yes. Love, Totodile Style had Totodile fall head over heels for a confirmed-female Azumarill who eventually shunned him for a Golduck. There was also the minor matter of a likely-female Quagsire at the end of the episode. This means that, unless it's a lesbian (which is highly unlikely, as the only confirmed non-straight in the anime is Harley), it's male. --Shiningpikablu252 15:19, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
When was it confirmed that Harley is gay? Pokeman21 15:34, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Adding to the debate of Totodile's Gender

As much as I hate adding oil to fire, since Brock gave Totodile romantic advice, does that lend credibility to the Big Jaw Pokemon's Gender? - unsigned comment from Benayla (talkcontribs)

Uh... no. A guy can give a girl dating advice and vice versa, it's not some wild, impossible scenario or something.--ForceFire 10:11, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
