The tenses in the history section are messed up. If no one else gets to it, I'll fix it tomorrow. --P o L i 19:58, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Adyniz wrote it, and he's not a native English speaker. I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet (I'd prefer to rewatch the episode first, and I don't have time for that), and it seems that no one else has yet either. 梅子 20:01, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Exactly,. That's why I mentioned THAT thing in the summary box. Well, it'll be great if you guys fix it soon. Thank you. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 20:03, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
What tense is it supposed to be in? I can fix it...--Cold (talk) 20:05, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Past tense, I believe. I want to go back and add some more detail to it also, but I need to rewatch the episode first - but like I said, no time atm. :P - unsigned comment from Umeko (talkcontribs)

Smokescreen?

Did Pokabu use Smokescreen on Ash when he was about to take the rope off its mouth?--Long Live Pokémon! --Skulblaka Shurtugal 20:11, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Already tried that, apparently unhealthy Pokabu do that Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 20:19, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I know it's not a biggie

I've watched and listened to BW005 a thousand times and I really don't think Ash commanded it to use Tackle into that hole, I'm not sure what he said, but he sure didn't say "Taiatari". He might have just said "Go into the hole!" or something, but it wasn't Tackle to the hole (o.O)...oh please don't kill me :D.YukitoOoO 17:11, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

It used Tackle, but not into the hole.--でんのう Zえんし 17:27, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
He told it to Bite onto Baoppu. It was most likely just one of those "Grab onto his tail!" or similar cases, not the actual move bite, even though Pokabu was visibly biting it. Though, Yanappu's use of Bite makes me wonder if Pokabu DID in fact use Bite, despite the fact he can't legally learn it in the games. May be a case of Anime Physics.Myzou 16:00, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
Yanappu can learn Bite legally. And Ash didn't say Kamitsuku.--でんのう Zえんし 16:06, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Gender

BW007 trailer shows Tsutarja using Attract on Pokabu, which pretty much comfirms it as male, yes? --YakobTheRed 11:50, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

We know, but it's bulbapedia's policy to wait till the episode airs. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:54, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
But does it apply to genders? It is pretty different than saying "Ash captures Tsutarja" or "Mamepato evolves". I think it we should mention it; it's pretty minor thing after all. And we put some future events like "Pendra will appear in BW009".--でんのう Zえんし 13:06, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm going to elect to stay on the safe side and wait. - Chosen of Mana 16:30, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
But we saw Ash right behind it? Its a little weird to act like it still could be a female... --Mattii 21:08, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
We know it's Ash's Pokabu, It's just not going to be added Ataro 21:13, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Why wouldn't we just add it? It's very minor thing and that would stop complaining. It's much smaller thing than new move or capture. Wait til airs rule doesn't apply to everything, doesn't it?--でんのう Zえんし 21:21, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
"The episode confirming its Gender has not aired, and therefore, disregarding everything else, in the actual show it is still unknown. --HoennMaster 22:41, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, I say this is all ridiculous. A female Tsutarja used attract on a male Pokabu, therefore meaning it has been male this entire time. It doesn't obtain it's gender, it was born male. MAMOSWINEPwnz! (TaleOfTheToaster) 14:58, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

I sorta agree. It won't become male in BW007; it is already one, therefore it's different situation than evolution or move.--でんのう Zえんし 15:14, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Doesn't change the fact that to the characters in the show Pokabu's gender is unknown. --HoennMaster 15:21, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

I understand the policy to protect and wait until the episode airs before adding anything, but as it was in the preview given at the end of BW006, technically that means it has aired and should be added. TheChrisD RantsEdits 02:28, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

I don't think technicalities count Ataro 02:30, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
But it hasn't happened yet. A preview is exactly that; a preview. Attract hasn't been used by Tsutarja yet, and it hasn't been met yet. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 02:32, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
I know TTE will probably have at me for quoting Wikipedia policies in this case, but whatever happened to "being bold" and "ignoring all rules"... TheChrisD RantsEdits 15:54, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Ignore the rules and we kill you. TTEchidna 10:41, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Protection request

Hey admins, I think this article should be protected from editing. Users are continuously adding the gender which is partly flaming an edit war. I would like to suggest you to keep this article under protection till BW007 airs in order to avoid the meaning less dispute. Thank you. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 16:41, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

I don't think a gender is worth protecting this article. It's not like an evolution in which the page must be moved. --ケンジガール 19:30, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
If users keep edit warring over it I think it should be protected, though it seems to have calmed down for now. 梅子 20:22, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Unprotect plz; there won't be any wars anymore.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 11:20, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

I agree with DZ, I do not see why this article needs to be protected anymore, now that the episode has aired. Unless there is another reason to protect it, I think it should be unprotected now. --JediKnightDTV 23:37, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Why is this page still protected??RBK 22:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Can the page please be unprotected so the events of BW016 can be written in its history? Azure42 16:24, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Unknown

Hey, should we put "unknown" under its location, since it may be either with Ash or Juniper and that's too long to fit in that little box? --Chiramii 15:21, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Minor Trivia Fix

The second bullet of the trivia says that "Tepig is the fourth Fire-type starter Pokémon to be caught by Ash and the third to have been abandoned by his previous Trainer." when in actuality it is the third. I'm not sure who can fix it, but I thought it would be worth mentioning to someone. - unsigned comment from Mightygamer0 (talkcontribs)

1st = Charmander, 2nd = Cyndaquil, 3rd = Chimchar, 4th = Tepig. It's correct. Also, please sign your comments with the four tildes ~~~~. --ケンジガール 04:53, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't know how to sign anything, I'm quite new to this. I read the trivia wrong. I thought it said the fourth abandoned. My mistake. User: Mightygamer0 8:39, 1 October 2011 (CST)
i dont recall Cyndaquil being abandoned by a previous trainer.TyphlosionTrent 13:25, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Tepig is the fourth Fire-type starter caught by Ash. Not abandoned. --ケンジガール 13:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Important battle

Um I may be wrong but isn't a battle to see if Ash gets to keep Scraggy kinda important to the story?? It's not like it was just a random battle.RBK 23:12, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

It was important, but not really for Tepig, it could have been anyone Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 23:29, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
