Would this triva be notable enough?

I know I can't add trivia at the moment, but I'm just checking if this information is notable enough: "Palpitoad marks the first time that Ash has caught two Water types in one region since Kingler." Don't Hug Lucario! 16:13, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Technically not true. He caught Totodile and Seaking in Johto. Granted, Seaking appears to have been temporary, but as a Poké Ball was used, it still counts. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 16:16, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
And that "since Kingler" part makes it unnotable anyways.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:20, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
How about this one then? "Palpitoad is the first Water type that Ash has caught that has a second type" Is this notable enough to be put on when trivia is allowed again? I Liek Gengarz! Do Joo Liek Dem? 20:32, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Lol, I removed that trivia from Lapras's page earlier today...----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 20:34, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
May I refer up to Lapras Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 20:35, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I just forgot about that one. I Liek Gengarz! Do Joo Liek Dem? 20:37, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Is the fact that Palpitoad is the fourth of Ash's Pokemon to be caught already in its evolved form notable? --VolticWind 21:15, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

The fact that it's the fourth makes it not notable. Ataro 21:21, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

How about this? Palpitoad marks the first time that Ash caught a Water/Ground type in Ash's team or Palppitoad marks the second water type that he catch since Kingler - unsigned comment from KingCharizard (talkcontribs)

Again, you've forgotten Lapras. Ash caught Lapras after already having Squirtle in his party. I don't think Palpitoad qualifies for any "first *something* since *the last time*" trivia. —darklordtrom 01:00, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Not the same

So it was confirmed that this Palpitoad isn't the same as the one from BW034? :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 19:36, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

They have different VAs so yes.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 19:44, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Cool. Just wondering. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 19:44, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Maybe this counts as Trivia?

I think it could be mentioned that Ash catching Palpitoad in this episode mirrors Ash being responsible for Trip failing to catch a Palpitoad in the last episode. It seems notable, but the main reason for adding it is that it subliminally gets the point across that this is a different Palpitoad to the one Trip tried to catch (at least, according to the topic above) as many people seem confused about "why there is no mention of its appearance in BW034".

Also, Ash's Swadloon had the piece of trivia 'Swadloon is Ash's only Pokémon without a confirmed gender' until it was confirmed male, so I think Palpitoad should have that piece. At least until Roggenrola comes along. Torngentleman2 19:41, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Uh, what about Ash's Pokémon at Oak's? :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 19:48, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Like Kenji-Girl said there is no notable or useful trivia for this this pokemon as of now. Let's concentrate on editing other articles not trivia all of the time. --Pokemaster97 19:53, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, the trivia said 'Swadloon is the only Pokémon Ash captured in Unova without a confirmed gender'. If it was notable there, it should be notable here. Torngentleman2 19:59, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
It's not trivia. The info box already says its gender is unknown, and Ash's Swadloon doesn't even have that trivia anymore. The Palpitoad issue however could potentially be notable, but I'll let Kenji-girl handle this as she's more knowledgeable in this subject area. Jellotalk 20:06, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Why is it so necessary to put some trivia this article?Hikaru Wazana 20:32, 20 May 2011
If people are going to be picky about what goes on trivia, I honestly don't think there should even be a trivia section. I enjoyed reading some of the trivia, and it was a nice reflection and everything that happened in the anime altogether. But suddenly more than half of the trivia became unnotable and got removed, now most pages are barren, and it really annoys me. Personally I would remove the trivia section in general, it's just too much of a hassle to deal with apparently. But then again I'm only one person out of many. --Dman dustin 21:25, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Personally, I think this conversation should be over. :--SuperAipom7 (Questions?) 21:26, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Most pages are barren now because we removed trivia? Sorry but I'm just not seeing that. And if trivia takes up most of a page, I would find that a problem. It shouldn't do that. A lot of the trivia I removed were either extremely obvious or comparisons.
I like trivia, okay. But peopled have just gotten ridiculous with it. Do you really think it is notable to say "This Pokémon is Ash's fourth *insert type here*-type."? Who really cares about that? I don't think that just because we don't allow some trivia anymore doesn't mean that all trivia should go. It is not required that all pages have a trivia section. So just stop trying to find something to add. Instead, focus your energy on how the history section could be improved or something. That's another reason this page was protected. If nobody was going to bother trying to clean up the summary and just put trivia then maybe it shouldn't be edited at all.
This page was just created and its talk is filled with mostly trivia discussions. This is why we're trying to cut down on it. People depend too much on it now. The articles are not created just so people can ignore it and scroll down to the trivia section. The trivia sections should be for small, interesting tidbits that someone may not have thought of. None of the trivia that people put for Palpitoad reflects that. I mean, tell me what this is? "Palpitoad is Ash's first Pokémon that knew Hydro Pump and not Water Gun." Why is that important? That's all I have to say about the matter. I wish for no one to post after me if you can kindly grant that request. --ケンジガール 22:36, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

With Juniper or on party?

You know Palpitoad should be in the "Status Unknown" because we don't know if Ash choose to switch someone or send it to Juniper. Pikatwig 02:34, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

actually we do. Ash already had 6 Pokémon in his party. If he catches a seventh it automaticly goes to Professor Juniper and will stay there untill he reaches a pokemon center to get it. --Pokemaster97 02:39, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
