== First Pokemon to have it's gender confirmed? ==
According to Misty's Horsea's page, ''it'' was the first one, since that episode aired a few episodes before Butterfree's last episode. [[User:Lovely Rose|Lovely Rose]] 21:47, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Counter

Wen Ash was fighting Team Rocketwith Caterpie, is it posible that he did not know they could not use counter? Cerberus 23:33, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Caterpie tried to use Counter, though. Maybe it thought it could use the move. ----

Glitch and Official Pokémon. There is no real difference between the two. In my opinion, the two should be considered equal!-- quoted by Missingno. Master 11:55, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Did not lokk like it to me. Cerberus 21:03, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
It was trying to do something, though it didn't succeed in a Counter. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:47, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Sometime between EP004 and EP021. MoldyOrange 21:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Released?

Come tho think of it...does it count as "releasing" when the Pokemon was technically NEVER released from the Poke Ball? All Ash did was send Butterfree away and said, "I'll just tell the other Pokemon that you're on a trip and you'll be back some day, maybe." And he never released him with the Poke Ball. - unsigned comment from Tavisource (talkcontribs)

Yeah, and he did the same thing to Pidgeot and Lapras?, I think.--PsychicRider 00:32, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
So can it be CONFIRMED as a release? For example, Paul's Chimcahar was shown being released from the Poke Ball as where Ash's Pokemon was either never released or just not confirmed. What do you other people think?--☆Tavisource 00:35, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
From what I can tell, the whole "release with the Poké Ball" thing didn't even exist until Generation IV, and even then Jessie didn't employ the method like Paul had. --Shiningpikablu252 00:41, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, technically, the "release with the Poké Ball" method had existed since "Charmander, the stray Pokémon". I mean, in the scene where Damian was calling Charmander back into it's Poké Ball, the animation where he say's "Charmander, Return!" was actually the "Poké Ball, GO!" animation, which implies that he actually released it via the Poké Ball method (Usually, a Trainer calls back their pokémon via the "Red Laser" device on the Poké Ball.). Weedle Mchairybug 11:34, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
But since it didn't apply yet, can Butterfree's release be considered "unconfirmed"? There has to be a difference between releasing a Pokemon and letting a Pokemon wander off on its own.--☆Tavisource 00:43, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
