Release information

This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. In Japan, it was reprinted in the Pokémon VS expansion and in the unofficial English Tyranitar Half Deck for the 2001 Tropical Mega Battle with new artwork by the same artist, which eventually appeared in Expedition Base Set. It was reprinted in EX Ruby & Sapphire with new artwork by Hiromichi Sugiyama and subsequently reprinted in EX FireRed & LeafGreen, EX Delta Species, EX Dragon Frontiers and many Japanese half decks. It was reprinted with new art again in Diamond & Pearl, Secret Wonders and Stormfront, this time by Ryo Ueda. It was reprinted in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion with new artwork by Hideaki Hakozaki. The Japanese release of this print was reclassified as a Goods card, but the English did not adopt this name and continued classifying it as a Trainer card. It was released again in the Beginning Set with new artwork by Ayaka Yoshida.
