History
Metagross made its appearance in SS031 as a Shiny Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution.
Metagross first appeared when Steven sent it out and Mega Evolved it in a battle against Alain's Charizard. It was shown being extremely strong in both offense and defense, dealing heavy blows on Alain's Mega Charizard X and being able to withstand even a strong Blast Burn with little effort. Before the battle could be finished, however, it was interrupted by Lysandre and his Pyroar.
Steven later sent out and Mega Evolved his Metagross while facing Mega Rayquaza. When Alain's Mega Charizard X was struck by Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent, Metagross tried to grab it, but was knocked away by Rayquaza. It was then forced to take evasive action to avoid Rayquaza's Draco Meteor.
Personality and characteristics
During its battle with Alain's Charizard, Metagross was shown to withstand powerful attacks, including ones that are super-effective, such as Blast Burn.

History
Metagross first appeared with Steven in Blowing Past Nosepass II of the Ruby & Sapphire arc when Steven contacted Captain Stern on the PokéNav.
Metagross later appeared at the Granite Cave. When Steven and Ruby were attacked by a group of wild Mawile, Steven used Metagross to defeat them with a surprise attack from underground.
Later, Steven and Metagross came to Wallace's rescue in the Lilycove Department Store after Tabitha had been turned insane due to his exposure to the Blue Orb, knocking the Magma Admin unconcious with Metagross's Meteor Mash. After defeating Tabitha's Torkoal as well, Steven boarded Metagross and started flying towards Sootopolis City, rescuing Sapphire from in the middle of the chaos caused by Groudon and Kyogre in the process.
After Steven had been killed by the stress of controlling Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, Metagross was used by Wallace to reach Sootopolis in order to stop Archie and Maxie for restarting the crisis. When Steven had been restored back to life by Celebi, Metagross returned to his possession.
During the Platinum arc, Metagross was seen flying Steven to the Sinnoh region so that Steven could collect rare stones located there. After Steven had sold his Villa, he used Metagross to fly back to Hoenn.
Metagross reappeared in the Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire arc.
Personality and characteristics
Metagross's magnetism allows it to float in the air, and as such, Steven has been mainly relied on it as a method of flight transportation. It has also shown to be an extremely strong battler, defeating a group of wild Pokémon at once without any sort of trouble.
