Spore (Japanese: キノコのほうし Mushroom Spore) is a non-damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation I. Prior to Generation III, it was the signature move of Paras and Parasect.

Effect

Generation I-II

Spore puts the target to sleep.

Generation III and on

Spore's effects remain the same, except that now it cannot affect targets with Insomnia or Vital Spirit as their Ability.
