Soundproof (Japanese: ぼうおん Soundproof) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.
Effect
In battle
Soundproof prevents all effect from sound moves, granting Pokémon with this Ability immunity from them. It does not grant immunity from Heal Bell from Generation V onward. In FireRed and LeafGreen, a sleeping Pokémon with this Ability cannot be woken with a Poké Flute.
Sound moves
- Pokémon with Soundproof are immune to Heal Bell in Generation III and IV only.
Outside of battle
Soundproof has no effect outside of battle.
