Sophie (Japanese: ソフィー Sophie) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. She is one of Professor Sycamore's assistants who first appeared in Lumiose City Pursuit!.
She was called over by the professor when Ash arrived with an injured Froakie and decided to take care of it right away by putting it in a pod. Sophie is known for being an expert in healing Pokémon. Later, Team Rocket arrived in disguise as scientists, claiming to know about Mega Evolution. After the lab's Garchomp went out of control due to a collar James threw at her, Sophie stayed behind in the lab with Cosette.
In XY003, Sophie presented the three Kalos starters to Serena who was about to start on her Pokémon journey. She also briefly appeared in XY004, witnessing how Serena chose Fennekin as her starter.
