Sonrisa

Sonrisa (Japanese: チサト Chisato) is a young woman who was the character of the day in Grin to Win!.

She lives in Bloomingvale in Johto and raises Sunflora to compete in the Sunflora Festival. She has her own personal greenhouse with her own home-made irrigation system to raise her Sunflora. Unlike other Trainers who used various odd methods of Pokémon raising such as trips to tanning salons or hiring performers to keep them entertained, Sonrisa simply provided her Pokémon with fresh air, water, and sunshine.

Her prize Sunflora, Sunny, fell into a depression before the festival because its neighbor Sunflora was traded away to Nurse Joy. Sunny later won the festival after displaying its powerful SolarBeam technique.

Sunny
Sonrisa's Sunflora, Sunny, is her prize Sunflora which she used to compete in the Sunflora Festival held in Bloomingvale. Sunny was in depression because Sonrisa's neighbor's Sunflora was traded to Nurse Joy. It first appeared with the two other Sunflora, they were happy but Sunny was gloomy. Brock and Pikachu try to cheer it up by making funny faces but do not succeed and it falls asleep in the greenhouse. Sonrisa and Sunny come to the scene when Team Rocket attempted to steal a Sunflora, it talks to TRMeowth ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]]) and they lead it to Nurse Joy. Sunny was led to Gwendela and soon started to dance and return to its normal self.

The next day in the Sunflora Festival, the last contestants were Sunny, Cyrus's Sunflora, Dorabelle and Meowth dressed as a Sunflora. Meowth's disguise was ruined and James activated huge mirrors which made Sunny and the other Sunflora fall to the ground, but with the help of Ash and his friends, they were able to send Team Rocket blasting off with a SolarBeam. With a great smile and a dazzling performance the judges awarded Sonrisa as the winner.

Sunny's only known move is SolarBeam.
