Trivia

  • The card’s Japanese illustrator; Keita Takahashi, was one of those chosen to have their artwork featured on a card as part of the CoroCoro illustration competition in late 1997. Wizards of the Coast also ran an illustration competition for the English version of the card, the chosen image being the work of Craig Turvey.

Origin

The Japanese translation for Guard is Block, a move introduced in Generation III that Snorlax can learn. The card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue.
