Trivia
- This card's Japanese illustrator; Keita Takahashi, was one of those chosen to have their artwork featured on a card as part of the CoroCoro illustration competition in late 1997. Wizards of the Coast also ran an illustration competition for the English version of the card, the chosen image being the work of Craig Turvey.
- This card's Japanese Pokédex entry makes a reference to Snorlax's inconvenient placements when encountered in the Pokémon games.
- The Japanese illustration is also based on this, depicting the Snorlax that lies on Route 12.
Origin
Guard's Japanese name is that of Block, a move introduced in Generation III that Snorlax can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue.
