Skill Swap (Japanese: スキルスワップ Skill Swap) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It was TM48 from Generation III to Generation IV. In Pokémon Black and White, it was the signature move of Solosis's evolutionary line.
Effect
Generation III
Skill Swap will exchange the Abilities of the user and the target. Wonder Guard cannot be Skill Swapped. If the user switches out of battle after using this move, its original Ability will be restored.
Generation IV
Multitype cannot be Skill Swapped.
Abilities that normally only activate when a Pokémon is sent out (such as Intimidate) will now activate after being switched via Skill Swap.
Generation V
Illusion and Zen Mode cannot be Skill Swapped. Also, when using Skill Swap on an opponent, it states the new Abilities of the Pokémon.
Generation VI
Stance Change cannot be Skill Swapped. If Pokémon have the same Ability, Skill Swap still displays them being changed.
