Brings down the energy of any Pokémon that have already used a move this turn.

Simple Beam (Japanese: シンプルビーム Simple Beam) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

151Mew.png This move effect may be in need of research.
Reason: Are Hadron Engine and Quark Drive affected by Simple Beam?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Simple Beam changes the target's Ability to Simple. If a Pokémon affected by Simple Beam is switched out, it regains its original Ability.

Simple Beam fails if the target's Ability is Simple, Truant, Multitype, Zen Mode (Generation VII onward), Stance Change, Protosynthesis, Schooling, Comatose, Shields Down, Disguise, RKS System, Battle Bond, Power Construct, Ice Face, Gulp Missile, or As One.

With Simple as its Ability, if the Pokémon's stat stages would be increased or decreased, the amount they would change by is doubled.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Simple Beam, the user's Special Attack stat rises one stage.
