Simon's father (Japanese: ラングの父 Lang's father) is the character of the day who appeared in The Poké Spokesman. His only appearance in the episode was in Simon's flashback.
When Simon was young, he was rescued by his father when a tornado struck their homeland. Simon's father put the young child in the basement so that he could be safe from the storm and his father could check on the neighbors. During Simon's time in the cellar, he discovered he had the ability to speak to Pokémon. After the storm stopped, Simon's father came by and picked Simon up.
