Silph Co. (Japanese: シルフカンパニー Shirufu Company) is a large corporation that is based in Saffron City. Silph Co. is responsible for many of the technological advances in Pokémon training. Some of their most popular creations include the Master Ball, Porygon, Porygon2, and the Upgrade.
Team Rocket once infiltrated Silph Co. for its rare Pokémon and Items.
Despite the important role Silph plays in the games, it was never made mention of in the anime, a pecular oversight.
