As hints and evidence for ships are mostly speculation, this page may contain personal points of view.

OriginShipping (Japanese: ダイミク DaiMiku or ミクダイ MikuDai) is the belief that Wallace and Steven are involved in a romantic relationship. They are known to be acquaintances and believed to be friends. The name of this pairing stems from the fact that both characters wait outside of the Cave of Origin in the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire games while the main character goes inside to quell Groudon or Kyogre.

Game evidence

Wallace states that, as a citizen of Sootopolis, he cannot enter the cave, but Steven has no such reason, so fans of the pairing presume that he is at least partially there to comfort Wallace. A few of Wallace's sentences before, during and after the player's battle with him in Pokémon Emerald (as champion)are very similar to Steven Stone's, when he was Champion in Ruby and Sapphire. In particular, the line Wallace says when he is defeated is the same as Steven's, only with words of grace with in it.
