The Shiny Charm (Japanese: ひかるおまもり Shining Charm) is a key item introduced in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, acting as a reward for completing the National Pokédex.
In the games
The Shiny Charm increases the chance of encountering a Shiny Pokémon, both in the wild and through breeding. This is known to stack with other modifiers which increase the Shiny encounter rate, such as the Masuda method.
In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, the player can receive the Shiny Charm from Professor Juniper after obtaining all the Pokémon in the National Pokédex, with the exception of event Pokémon, and then speaking with Cedric Juniper.
In Pokémon X and Y, the player can receive the Shiny Charm from Professor Sycamore after obtaining all the Pokémon in the National Pokédex, with the exception of event Pokémon.
In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the player can receive the Shiny Charm from Professor Birch after obtaining all Pokémon in the National Pokédex, with the exception of event Pokémon.
