Shadow Shield (Ability)

Shadow Shield (Japanese: ファントムガード Phantom Guard) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Lunala.

Effect

In battle

Shadow Shield lowers damage taken from damage-dealing moves when at maximum HP.^[1]

Unlike most other Abilities, Shadow Shield is unaffected by Mold Breaker, Teravolt, and Turboblaze. In addition, Moongeist Beam does not ignore Shadow Shield.^[2]
