Physiology
Serperior is a primarily pale green, serpentine Pokémon. Its face and throat are white, while its back is dark green. Curled, mint-colored patterns extend into the white portion of its face, and it has narrow red eyes. In the lower jaw, two fangs are visible when its mouth is open. There are two pointed yellow extensions on the back of its head. Coiled, dark green extensions spread out from the sides of its lower neck, forming a curving pattern lower down the body. It has now completely lost the legs from its previous stages and now must slither about due to its new, serpentine form; however, just below its neck, it has two small leaf-like arms on either side of its body, which it usually keeps folded behind its back. It has curved yellow markings around its middle and several palmate leaves on its tail.
Serperior is a primarily pale-green, snake-like Pokémon. Serperior has curled pale-green patterns on the sides of its face and snout, and small, pointed yellow extensions on the back of their heads. Its face and upper neck are white-colored, and curled, tendril-like darker green extensions spread out from the sides of its lower neck, forming a curling pattern lower down the body, resembling a fancy collar. It has narrow red eyes, and small, pointed teeth on its lower jaw. The upper section of its body is dark green, and the lower pale green. Curled yellow patterns adorn its body, and a sprig-like feature of several leaves tip its tail. It has lost its legs completely, and now only has small, stubby hands.

Gender differences
Serperior will only attack with full force against opponents that are unfazed by its piercing glare, which is said to be able to halt its foes' movements. This intimidating stare and its regal form have earned it the title of "Lord of the Forest". It is capable of amplifying solar energy with its body.
None.

Special abilities
Evolution
Serperior is able to amplify sunlight inside its body. Its piercing stare can stop opponents in their tracks.
Serperior evolves from Servine and is the final form of Snivy.

Behavior
(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)
Serperior holds its head high pretentiously while fighting and tends to stay elegant at all times. It doesn't take most opponents seriously, unless said opponent is particularly powerful.

Origin
Origin
Serperior is based on multiple species of non-venomous snakes and limbless lizards, such as the Green Vine Snake, Ahaetulla nasuta, Ahaetulla prasina the Emerald Tree Boa, the Royal Python or the snake-like Lialis burtonis. Its design was based on Strelitzias, most likely either the strelitzia juncea and/or the strelitzia reginae. Its appearance may have also been inspired by the Quetzalcoatl; a green, Feathered Serpent (deity). Serperior's appearance may have been based on the acanthus (ornament) motifs used specially during the 18th century. It and its pre-evolutions were confirmed to have been inspired from European, specifically French, royalty. The fact that Serperior amplifies sunlight in its body, as stated in its Pokédex entry, may be an allusion to King Louis XIV, a famous French king who referred to himself as the "Sun King". Serperior's white face also alludes to the skin whitening fashion, mostly used by the European aristocracy in the 17th century. Serperior's dark green design on its chest seems to form a Fleur-de-lis a french insignia that is used on many European noble families' and nations' coat of arms. The fact that Serperior can seize opponents with its piercing stare makes a reference to the Basilisk, king of serpents in European legends. The plant-like appendages may bear a small resemblance to the cobra.
Serperior is based on a snake, perhaps specifically the vine snake, tree snake or Opheodrys. It may also be based on legless lizards. The shape of its head and the extensions on its collar may be based on the Strelitzia or Heliconia flowers, a cobra's hood, or a snake's shed skin.

Ken Sugimori has said that Snivy, Servine, and Serperior are based on Western culture, specifically mentioning Lady Oscar from the manga series The Rose of Versailles as an inspiration. Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott's evolutionary lines are collectively based on Western, Chinese, and Japanese culture respectively, to represent the diversity of the Unova region.

The fact that Serperior amplifies sunlight in its body, as stated in its Pokédex entry, may be an allusion to King Louis XIV of France, who famously referred to himself as the "Sun King". Its white face may allude to the skin whitening fashion, mostly used by the European aristocracy in the 17th century. The way it keeps its tiny arms behind its back is a signal of dominance and authority. Its body markings resemble the acanthus (ornament) motifs popularized during the Renaissance. The dark green design on its chest seems to form a fleur-de-lis, a French insignia that is used on many European noble families' and nations' coat of arms. Along with its regal look, Serperior's ability to seize opponents with its piercing stare may be a reference to the basilisk, the king of serpents in European legend.

Serperior (Japanese: ジャローダ Jalorda) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It evolves from Servine starting at level 36. It is the final form of Snivy.

Biology

Serperior will only attack with full force against opponents that are unfazed by its piercing glare, which is said to be able to halt its foes' movements. This intimidating stare and its regal form have earned it the title of "Lord of the Forest". It is capable of amplifying solar energy with its body.

Evolution

Serperior evolves from Servine and is the final form of Snivy.

Trivia

Serperior in Pokémon Battle Chess

Origin

Serperior is based on a snake,[1] perhaps specifically the vine snake, tree snake or green snake. It may also be based on legless lizards. The shape of its head and the extensions on its collar may be based on the bird of paradise or false bird of paradise flowers, a cobra's hood, or a snake's shed skin.

Ken Sugimori has said that Snivy, Servine, and Serperior are based on Western culture, specifically mentioning Lady Oscar from the manga series The Rose of Versailles as an inspiration. Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott's evolutionary lines are collectively based on Western, Chinese, and Japanese culture respectively, to represent the diversity of the Unova region.[1]

Its body markings resemble the acanthus leaf motifs popularized during the Renaissance. The dark green design on its chest seems to form a fleur-de-lis, a French insignia that is used on many European noble families' and nations' coat of arms. Along with its regal look, Serperior's ability to seize opponents with its piercing stare may be a reference to the basilisk, the king of serpents in European legend.

Name origin

Serperior may be a combination of serpent, superior, and possibly warrior and emperor.

Jalorda may be a combination of 蛇 ja (snake) and lord.
