The Seafloor Cavern (Japanese: かいていどうくつ Seabed Cavern) is a location in Hoenn, deep beneath the seas of 128. In order to reach it, players must have Dive and Surf, as well as the proper Badges (Balance and Mind) to use the moves outside of battle. Once inside, Strength and Rock Smash are also required.
The Seafloor Cavern (Japanese: 海底洞窟 Seabed Cavern) is a location in Hoenn, deep beneath the water of 128. After surfacing inside the cave, there is a maze of tunnels to the deepest part, where the super-ancient Pokémon resides.

The search for the cavern begins when Team Aqua or Team Magma steals a submarine from Captain Stern. In Ruby, the cavern is the home of Groudon, who sleeps at its deepest part, while in Sapphire and Emerald, Kyogre is the Pokémon who sleeps here, while Groudon's home (at least in Emerald) is within the Magma Hideout, deep inside of the caverns of Mt. Chimney.
In order to reach it, the player must use Surf and Dive. Inside, Strength is required for navigation; there are also smashable rocks, which cause Rock Smash to be required for navigation in the Generation III games, but not the Generation VI games.

The player's quest to find the villainous team begins almost immediately after winning their seventh Badge. With a Pokémon that can dive underwater in their party, they can now navigate the maze of deep trenches on the routes of Hoenn's eastern sea. In the deepest one of them, smack dab in the middle of 128's pathway, is the entrance to the Seafloor Cavern, where the stolen submarine is parked.
In Pokémon Ruby and Omega Ruby, the cavern is the home of Groudon, who slumbers at its deepest part; in Pokémon Sapphire, Emerald, and Alpha Sapphire, the cavern is the home of Kyogre, who slumbers at its deepest part (in Pokémon Emerald, Groudon slumbers within the Magma Hideout, deep inside of the caverns of Mt. Chimney).

After resurfacing inside the cave where the submarine is parked, players must navigate through the complex maze of tunnels to the deepest part, where the legendary Pokémon resides. Here they will also find the boss of the team that has stolen the submarine, Archie or Maxie, who will attempt to control the legendary Pokémon of his desire using one of the orbs found at the top of Mt. Pyre. However, the Pokémon will not respond well, and instead will escape, causing severe rain or sunlight, depending on which it is. In Emerald, both types of weather conditions appear, and they change after player takes enough steps (counting actions like using Fly)
In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, the stolen Submarine Explorer 1 is parked at the bottom of the underwater area underneath the Seafloor Cavern. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the stolen Submarine Explorer 1 is parked at the shore in the entrance chamber of the Seafloor Cavern.

From here, the player must go to Sootopolis City and into the Cave of Origin, either to catch the powerful legendary Pokémon (Ruby and Sapphire) or to talk to Wallace to deduce where Rayquaza is located (Emerald).
In the deepest part, Maxie or Archie will attempt to control the super-ancient Pokémon using the orb he stole from Mt. Pyre. However, the Pokémon does not respond well, and instead will escape, causing harsh sunlight/extremely harsh sunlight or rain/heavy rain throughout eastern Hoenn; in Emerald, both rain and harsh sunlight appear, and they change after the player takes enough steps (counting actions like using Fly).

Pokémon world locations

The Seafloor Cavern (Japanese: 海底洞窟 Seabed Cavern) is a location in Hoenn, deep beneath the water of Route 128. After surfacing inside the cave, there is a maze of tunnels to the deepest part, where the super-ancient Pokémon resides.

In order to reach it, the player must use Surf and Dive. Inside, Strength is required for navigation; there are also smashable rocks, which cause Rock Smash to be required for navigation in the Generation III games, but not the Generation VI games.

Chimney).

In the deepest part, MaxieROR or ArchieSEAS will attempt to control the super-ancient Pokémon using the orb he stole from Mt. Pyre. However, the Pokémon does not respond well, and instead will escape, causing harsh sunlightR/extremely harsh sunlightOR or rainS/heavy rainAS throughout eastern Hoenn; in Emerald, both rain and harsh sunlight appear, and they change after the player takes enough steps (counting actions like using Fly).
