Saturn made his first appearance at the ending of A Secret Sphere of Influence!, though it was a brief appearance at the end of the episode. He, along with the other Team Galactic Grunts, commented that Jessie, James and Meowth did a lousy job at stealing the Adament Orb for them, and framing Nando for the crime. They would later reappear in DP060.

In the games
He is seen leading the efforts of Team Galactic near Pastoria City, at Lake Valor. He seems to be the loose cannon among the Commanders, as he engages the player within Team Galactic's hideout in Veilstone City, regardless of Cyrus's orders to let him or her leave safely.
After the events at the Spear Pillar (which Saturn was not present for), he can be found in the Galactic Veilstone Building, contemplating what direction to take Team Galactic in after Cyrus has disappeared.

- Saturn's hair resembles Purugly's ears, which belongs to Mars, which could mean Purugly was originally going to be Saturn's main Pokémon.
