Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis In this episode, Casey meets the star pitcher of her favorite baseball team and helps him to train his Charizard. At the start of the episode, Dan the Charizard is shown on a rampage when Casey's hero shows up and claims that it is his. At that moment, Casey agreed quickly to help him to train his charizard to breath flames and to fly, and tried to battle an Ampharos to cheerleading, but none of it works. Casey then learns that he delibratly did not go back into baseball, so Casey starts to be mean to Dan, which encourages Casey's hero to train charizard himself, but Benny gets mad at Casey for treating Dan like that. Casey's hero and Dan starts to train on a mountain, but they get stuck, and it is revealed that Dan is scared of water. Casey goes to help them, but both her and her hero fell, and Dan jumped into the water. Then Dan comes back up and starts to fly with them, and starts to breath flames. This also encourages Casey's hero to go back into baseball.

Trivia

  • The narrator reads the title card.
  • The English dub title is likely a reference to the musical comedy Damn Yankees.
  • The nickname of Corey's Charizard, Don, is likely a reference to Charizard's Japanese name, Lizardon.

Errors

  • The episode menu of the UK DVD Release spells this episode as "Those Darn Electabuzzi".

Dub Edits

  • A seven-second scene of Don looking at Corey and Casey, then breathing a powerful Flamethrower is cut from the dub.
  • Casey mentions that she owns a Rapidash and a Magmar in the dub, however no reference to either of these Pokémon are made in the Japanese version.

In other languages

  • Italian: Una sferzata di vitalità
