• Team Rocket arrives in the Alola region, having been assigned by Giovanni to capture the region's unique Pokémon.
• A Rotom inhabits Ash's new Pokédex, turning it into a Rotom Pokédex.
• Jessie and James are revealed to have deposited Gourgeist and Inkay at Team Rocket HQ.
• Ash tries to catch a Mimikyu, but it decides to side with Team Rocket instead.
• Ash's classmates encounter Team Rocket for the first time.
• Team Rocket changes to a new motto.
