Ruby (EP094)
Ruby (Japanese: ナナ Nana) is a one-time character in the Pokémon anime who appeared in EP094. She runs the Seven Grapefruit Islands along with the help of her staff. Her Japanese voice actress is 根谷美智子 Michiko Neya and her English voice actress is Tara Jayne.
One day, what she thought was a thief was stealing the grapefruit from her island. Thinking it was Ash (who happened to pick one) was caught by her and he was accused of being the thief. But he managed to convince her that he wasn't and they decided to join forces to find the real thief.
This so called thief was actually a Snorlax who was eating mass amounts of grapefruit and was even tearing and eating the branches on the trees. Ruby did her best to travel the to the other islands in order to pick all the grapefruit so Snorlax couldn't get them. In the end, Ash captured Snorlax with the help of Jigglypuff.
By some miracle, wherever Snorlax went, new grapefruit trees began to grow. When Ash and co. said their goodbyes, Ruby gave them candied grapefruit peels which Pikachu and Togepi enjoyed.
