Rivalry (Japanese: とうそうしん Heart of Conflict) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. Ten Pokémon have this ability.
Effect
In battle
Rivalry raises the user's Attack stat by 50% if foe and the user have the same gender, but reduces the user's Attack stat by 50% if the foe and the user have opposite genders.
Outside of battle
Rivalry has no effect outside of battle.
