A Revive is a type of item from the Pokémon games. They can be used during or out of battle to restore a Pokémon which has fainted. They can be found on the ground, whether readily visible or hidden from sight and requiring an Itemfinder to locate. Standard Revives can be bought at some Poké Marts. In Generation IV, Revives and Max Revives can be found while digging in the Underground.

A standard Revive is an octahedron. A Max Revive is normally portrayed as a 24-faced polyhedron, but in the Sinnoh Underground it appears as a 32-faced polyhedron.

Types of Revive

In the spin-off games

Pokémon GO

Revives can be used to heal Pokémon that have been knocked out during Gym battles, healing the same amount of HP they do in the core series. However, unlike in the core series, they can only be used outside of battle. Regular Revives are unlocked at level 5, the same level as Gyms, while Max Revives are unlocked at level 30. They can either be randomly found at PokéStops or received as rewards when the player levels up.

After the battle, Emerald revealed that he had managed to find a total of 99 Revives during his Battle Pyramid challenge.

Skyla used a Max Revive to restore an injured wild Pidove in Up in the Air during the gathering of Gym Leaders at the Celestial Tower.
