Era 2010-

ReshiBoar is a deck that was one of the first conceived when the HGSS-on Format was introduced. It combines Reshiram from Black and White, and Emboar from Black and White.

The strategy of the deck is to keep cycling Energy with Emboar to constantly hit for 120 with Reshiram's Blue Flare.

Emboar's Ability, Inferno Fandango, allows one to attach as many Fire Energies to one's Pokémon as one likes. Combined with Reshiram's Blue Flare, and Energy Retrieval, this is a rather good and consistent deck. Lately, it has fallen in popularity, dropping to Tier 1.5 or Tier 2. However, ReshiBoar is still a nice contender.

Deck Strategy

The main cards in this deck are Reshiram and Emboar . Reshiram is the main attacker which does 120 damage for 1 colorless and 2 fire energy, however you discard 2 fire energy. Emboar's ability lets you move as much fire energy as you like from your hand to your Pokémon, this combined with energy retrieval means that you can get back those energy you lost and put them back on to Reshiram to attack again in 1 turn.

Typical decklist

The deck list appearing below is not official, and being that this is merely an archetype, a player may wish to change any part of this deck when building his or her own version.
