ReshiBoar is a deck that was one of the first conceived when the HGSS-on Format was introduced. It combines Reshiram from Black and White, and Emboar from Black and White.
The strategy of the deck is to keep cycling Energy with Emboar to constantly hit for 120 with Reshiram's Blue Flare.
Emboar's Ability, Inferno Fandango, allows one to attach as many Fire Energies to one's Pokémon as one likes. Combined with Reshiram's Blue Flare, and Energy Retrieval, this is a rather good and consistent deck. Lately, it has fallen in popularity, dropping to Tier 1.5 or Tier 2. However, ReshiBoar is still a nice contender.
Typical decklist
The deck list appearing below is not official; it is meant to represent an average build of the archetype, not specifically constructed for any regional metagame. Being that this is merely an archetype, a player may wish to change any part of this deck when building his or her own version.
Quantity | Card | Type | Rarity |
---|---|---|---|
???× | Reshiram | ||
???× | Emboar | ||
???× | Energy Retrieval | I | |
???× | Fire Energy | E | — |
