Ralts is a bipedal Pokémon with a white body. Its body and legs seem to resemble a nightgown or an oversized dress. Its green hair resembles a {{wp|bowl cut}}, which covers most of its face. Its hair is split by two flat red horns, a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back. A view from below shows that it has a pair of red eyes. A view from below shows that it has a pair of pinkish red eyes. | ||
Ralts uses the horns on its head to read people and Pokémon's emotions. It is known to inhabit {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Urban Pokémon|urban areas}}, but it does not normally show itself to humans. However, when it senses happy feelings, it will approach people. If its {{pkmn|Trainer}} is in a cheerful mood, it also becomes cheerful and joyous. If it senses warm feelings, its body will slightly warm up. It takes cover if it senses hostility. | Ralts uses the horns on its head to read people and Pokémon's emotions. Ralts (Japanese: ラルトス Ralts) is a dual-type Psychic/Fairy Pokémon, and prior to Generation VI, a pure Psychic-type.
It evolves into Kirlia starting at level 20, which evolves into Gardevoir starting at level 30 or, if male, Gallade when exposed to a Dawn Stone.
Biology
Ralts is a bipedal Pokémon with a white body. Its body and legs seem to resemble a nightgown or an oversized dress. Its green hair resembles a bowl cut, which covers most of its face. Its hair is split by two flat red horns, a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back. A view from below shows that it has a pair of pinkish red eyes.
Ralts uses the horns on its head to read people and Pokémon's emotions. It is known to inhabit urban areas, but it does not normally show itself to humans. However, when it senses happy feelings, it will approach people. If its Trainer is in a cheerful mood, it also becomes cheerful and joyous. If it senses warm feelings, its body will slightly warm up. It takes cover if it senses hostility.

Trivia
- Ralts's number in the Sinnoh Pokédex (Platinum only) and the Almia Browser are the same: 157.
- Ralts's Pokémon Trozei! sprite is the only one where its eyes are visible. In Pokémon X and Y, Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, one can see them if one were to view Ralts from below in the Pokédex/Trainer memo; however, it is not a sprite.
- Ralts is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 198.
- This is also the lowest base stat total of all Psychic-type Pokémon.
- Despite the fact that Wally catches his Ralts on Route 102 at level 5 in the Hoenn games, it is impossible for the player to catch a level 5 Ralts in the entire game, except through breedingRSE or through the DexNavORAS.
Origin
Ralts's appearance seems to be based slightly on that of a young child, following the theory that young children can sense feelings easier and more thoroughly than adults. Its red "horns" also resemble the tips of a heart shape.
Name origin
Ralts may be a partial anagram of astral (as in astral body); its other language names seem to follow this. It may also involve relate, referring to the way Ralts will only relate to kind Trainers. It may also be a play on waltz (a type of dance); Ralts' evolutionary family appears to have several similarities to dancers.
