Ralts is a humanoid Pokémon with a white body. It has thin arms and legs that widen toward the feet. There is a wispy extension trailing off the back of its feet, creating the overall impression of a nightgown or oversized dress. Most of its face is covered by green hair that resembles a {{wp|bowl cut}}, but a pair of pinkish red eyes is sometimes visible. There are two flat, red horns on top of its head: a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back. | Ralts is a humanoid {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} with a white body. There are two flat, red horns on top of its head: a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back.
Ralts uses the horns to read people and Pokémon's emotions. Warm feelings cause its body to warm as well, but it hides if it senses hostility. If its {{pkmn|Trainer}} is in a cheerful mood, Ralts also becomes cheerful and joyous. It is known to inhabit {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Urban Pokémon|urban areas}}, but it does not normally show itself to humans. However, when it senses happy feelings, it will approach people. Ralts prefers to hang out with people of cheerful nature more than those with gloomy natures. Regardless, Ralts will show no discrimination to anyone based on age or gender.
===Evolution=== | |||
Ralts evolves into {{p|Kirlia}}, which evolves into either {{p|Gardevoir}} or, if [[Gender|male]], {{p|Gallade}}.
(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to [[#Evolution data|Game data→Evolution data]].)

===Origin=== | ===Origin===
Ralts | Ralts seems to be based on a young child and the concept of {{wp|empathy}}. It is common in various forms of media for shy, sensitive characters to be depicted with hair obscuring their eyes, which may explain Ralts's {{wp|bowl cut}} hairstyle. The shape of its legs resemble a long dress, and the red horns on its head resemble two halves of a {{wp|heart shape|heart}}, which may relate to its ability to sense emotions.

Ralts (Japanese: ラルトス Ralts) is a dual-type Psychic/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Prior to Generation VI, it was a pure Psychic-type Pokémon.
It evolves into Kirlia starting at level 20, which evolves into Gardevoir starting at level 30 or, if male, Gallade when exposed to a Dawn Stone.
Biology
Ralts is a humanoid Pokémon with a white body. It has thin arms and legs that widen toward the feet. There is a wispy extension trailing off the back of its feet, creating the overall impression of a nightgown or oversized dress. Most of its face is covered by green hair that resembles a bowl cut, but a pair of pinkish-red eyes is sometimes visible. There are two flat, red horns on top of its head: a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back.
Ralts uses the horns to read people and Pokémon's emotions. Warm feelings cause its body to warm as well, but it hides if it senses hostility. If its Trainer is in a cheerful mood, Ralts also becomes cheerful and joyous. It is known to inhabit urban areas, but it does not normally show itself to humans. However, when it senses happy feelings, it will approach people. Ralts prefers to hang out with people of cheerful nature more than those with gloomy natures. Regardless, Ralts will show no discrimination to anyone based on age or gender.
Evolution
Ralts evolves into Kirlia, which evolves into either Gardevoir or, if male, Gallade.
(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data.)

Trivia
- Ralts's number in the Sinnoh Pokédex of Platinum and the Almia Browser are the same: 157.
- Ralts's Pokémon Trozei! sprite is the only one where its eyes are visible. In Pokémon X and Y, Pokémon Colosseum, and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, one can see them if one were to view Ralts from below in the Pokédex/Trainer memo; however, it is not a sprite.
- Ralts is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 198.
- This is also the lowest base stat total of all Psychic-type Pokémon.
- Despite the fact that Wally catches his Ralts on Route 102 at level 5 in the Hoenn games, it is impossible for the player to catch a level 5 Ralts in the entire game, except through the DexNavORAS.
- As of Generation VIII, Ralts and its evolutionary relatives are the only Pokémon that are in the Amorphous and Human-Like Egg Groups.
Origin
Ralts seems to be based on a young child and the concept of empathy. It is common in various forms of media for shy, sensitive characters to be depicted with hair obscuring their eyes, which may explain Ralts's bowl cut hairstyle. The shape of its legs resemble a long dress, and the red horns on its head resemble two halves of a heart, which may relate to its ability to sense emotions.
Name origin
Ralts may be a partial anagram of astral (relating to its Psychic powers). It may also involve waltz (referring to its dancer-like evolved forms).
