R Energy (Japanese: R-エネルギー R-Energy) is a Special Energy card. It was first released as part of the EX Team Rocket Returns expansion.

R Energy can be attached only to a Pokémon that has Dark or Rocket's in its name. While in play, R Energy provides 2 Energy. (Doesn't count as a basic Energy card.) If the Pokémon R Energy is attached to attacks, the attack does 10 more damage to the Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). When your turn ends, discard R Energy.

Release information

This card was included in the EX Team Rocket Returns expansion with artwork by Takumi Akabane, first released in the Japanese Rocket Gang Strikes Back expansion. It was reprinted in the Japanese Black Deck Kit and Silver Deck Kit

Trivia

Much like the earlier Miracle Energy is usable only by Pokémon with Light in their names and a related class, this card is usable only by Pokémon with Dark in their names and a related class.
