Quincy T. Quackenpoker

Quincy T. Quackenpoker (Japanese: ミドリカワ Midorikawa), who is also known as Dr. Quackenpoker, is a character of the day in the Pokémon anime who appeared in The Wacky Watcher. His Japanese voice actor is 大竹宏 Ohtake Hiroshi and his English voice actor is Jerry Lobozzo.

Dr. Quackenpoker is a Pokémon Watcher, and, in the dub, one of Tracey's idols. Tracey got the chance to meet the watcher while traveling with Ash and Misty in the Orange Islands. When they met the Watcher, he was studying Magikarp.

Tracey and the doctor became very fast friends. In fact, Tracey even helped Dr. Quackenpoker count how many Magikarp had evolved into Gyarados during their evolution season. Together, they discovered that more Magikarp had evolved while they were studying them than any other previous time.

Trivia

• Dr. Quackenpoker, at least in the dub, is based off comedian Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers, particularly his character Dr. Hakenbush from A Day at the Races.
• He is the only other Pokémon Watcher seen other than Tracey and Sammy Oak.
• His Japanese name translates out to green river.
