Psypoke is a major Pokémon website that was originally owned, from 1999 to 2000, by Canadian webmaster Abra K. on the domain psypoke.com. Although the site's name lacks an accent mark over the "e," it is acceptable to refer to the site as either /saɪpoʊk/ or /saipokeɪ/. A notable little-known fact is that Serebii was briefly an updater for the original incarnation of the site. Psypoke's original incarnation was not very helpful as Pokémon fan sites went - it lacked a Pokédex and detailed information on the video games. It was also infamous for the amount of advertising on it.

After he had decided to leave the site in late 2000, Abra K. transferred ownership to four people: darkmind, TheKirbster, Nova, and DeadeyeDave. These four webmasters called themselves "The Psypoke Elite Four." In 2001, Psypoke.com completely vanished from the Internet when Abra K. allowed the domain name to expire. Psypoke continued on as a somewhat-underground forum community until fall 2002, when it returned under the ownership of the second, and current, Psypoke Elite Four: TonberryKing, Amphy, darkmind, and Frost.

On March 16, 2007, the Elite Four relinquished all site and forum responsibilities to a new "Lite Four" of Krisp, sN0wBaLL, FireStarter, and TheCyberMew. Since the Lite Four is only in the process of learning PHP, the actual updating is done by "The Geek", Jigglypuff (or Jiggz). Despite this, the current Elite Four will not be leaving the site entirely [[1]].

The site is currently powered by the GameSpy Network and can be found at [2]. The current site is mainly notable for its extensive game-related Pokédex.
