This card was also released as a Promotional card with different artwork, also by [[Kagemaru Himeno]]. In Japan, it came with Volume 2 of Ni Natta Wake comic, released in September 1999. The English version was available through the Pokémon League in September 2000.

In Japan, it was later reprinted with new artwork by the same artist as a promotional card available as an insert with the second volume of the manga series How I Became a Pokémon Card, released in September 1999. The Japanese promotional version was printed on non-glossy card stock. The English print of this promotional card was available through the Pokémon League in September 2000.
