A Psychic (Japanese: サイキッカー Psychicer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation I games. They were originally only male, but in Generation III, female Psychics started to appear. In Generation VI, the trainer class once again reverts to all male, having found a female counterpart in Hex Maniacs. They appear as young men or young women levitating Poké Balls with their psychokinetic powers.

When paired with Black Belts in Double Battles, they are called Brains & Brawns.

They specialize in Psychic-type Pokémon, and also in Ghost-type Pokémon from Generation IV onward.
