Psychic (TCG)

The Psychic type is one of the nine TCG elemental types. It is represented by the color purple.

The Psychic type contains all Psychic and Ghost Pokémon found in the Game Boy games. For example, Alakazam and Gengar are Psychic types in the TCG.

Recently, in the Diamond and Pearl expansion set, Template:Type2 Pokémon have been represented as Psychic-types.

Battle properties

Generally Psychic Pokémon have a weakness to:

  • Psychic (if the Pokémon was a Psychic or Poison type in the Game Boy games)
  • Darkness (if the Pokémon was a Ghost type in the Game Boy games)

Psychics are weak to Psychics in the TCG, because in the Game Boy games, Psychics are weak to Ghosts.
