This card was reprinted by Wizards of the Coast as a reverse holographic, which includes a gold "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork, as part of the Best of Game promotional set, awarded at GenCon 2003.
Trivia
- The restriction against playing any more Trainer cards after this card is played is similar to the rules of the later-released Supporter cards, of which only one could be played per turn. The cards depicting Elm's successors, Professor Birch, Professor Rowan, and Professor Juniper are all Supporters.
- The effect of this card is similar to that of Professor Oak of the Base Set.
Origin
Professor Elm is the local Pokémon Professor of Johto.
