Pound (Japanese: はたく Strike) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.
Pound inflicts damage and has no secondary effect.

- Jigglypuff uses Pound as its B attack in Super Smash Bros. From Super Smash Bros. Melee onwards, Pound became its side B attack. It is mainly used as an alternate recovery move, since its up B attack, Sing, does not help Jigglypuff recover.

- Pound has an index number of 1, making it the first move in the game data.
- All Pokémon able to learn this move learn it at level 1, except Igglybuff and Jigglypuff, who both learn it at level 9.
