The Pokémon Mansion Journals
The Pokémon Mansion journals were a series of diary entries entered in by a Pokémon researcher (possibly Dr. Fuji chronicling the events that took place in the discovery of Mew and the creation of and birth of Mewtwo. The journals state that in early July, Mew was discovered deep in the jungles of Guyana, South America. And then five days later christened as "Mew" by the scientist. The next journal entry takes place in early February, and states that they took Mew back to the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island and experimented on it, thus creating its child Mewtwo after a series of harsh gene splicing experiments. The final diary entry on September 1st, states that Mewtwo is far too powerful for the scientists to handle and that they have failed to contain his "vicious tendencies". This last part of the journal entries posts an eerie hint of the ill-fated scientists and the likely cause of the Mansion's destruction, Mewtwo.
